Extras

Citrus Squeezer
Nice to have, but you can easily use your hands.

Crock Pot
Very useful for those of us who work long hours, it’s so nice to come home to a warm dinner! A friend of mine told me he won’t use these because they pass EMF’s through the food, which got me thinking about all electric appliances. Here’s a link to find out exactly how much each appliance puts off: http://www.emwatch.com/Typical_mG.htm

Dehydrator
Can be purchased or home made http://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-Food-Dehydrator-Dryer/ great for all your food preservation needs.

Food Processor
Absolutely not a necessity, anything a food processor can do you can do by hand, but nice to have around if you can afford it. My mom upgraded and gave me her old one, which I use to make pie crust so fast you wouldn’t believe it! Juicer
great, especially if you have an abundance of fruits and veggies.

Microwave
I have three words for you: don’t do it. I know they’re convenient and fast, but they also cook your food with radiation. I have heard and read so many reassurances that microwaves are perfectly safe, but my gut feeling says “I don’t think so.” Try a toaster oven instead, or just warm your food on the stovetop. You’ll soon find there is nothing a microwave can do that you can’t find a more natural way to do, better.

Salad Spinner
Gets almost all the water off your salad greens

Toaster Oven
A wonderful appliance for folks who don’t have kitchen access, or don’t want to heat up the whole oven for a small amount of food. You can even bake small batches of cookies, etc. in these. Check out this link to find the best one for the best price: http://www.consumersearch.com/toaster-ovens

Wok A friend gave me one and I use it a few times a year. If you’re really into stir fries, then go for it, otherwise just use a regular skillet.
